- La Cooperativa Catalan Roots Culture (Cultura Catalana d’Arrels) neix de la voluntat. de fer difusió d’un pensament crític envers el sistema neoliberal actual, emprant l’art en totes les seves vessants. La nostra voluntat, és generar material de tot tipus, creant així una arma de propaganda per les lluites que es duen a terme als Països Catalans i arreu del món. Tenim l’aspiració d’anar obrint espais arreu del país, on poder distribuir material, anar editant dissenys nous i moderns, a preus populars i procurar incidir a les consciències, per sobre de l’ànim de lucre.Els nostres valors principals, són l’autogestió i l’assemblearisme. L’assemblea de Catalan Roots Culture és l’òrgan màxim de decisió i està formada pel personal que treballem a la cooperativa. La forma de créixer, és autogestionant el projecte i anar treballant poc a poc i conscients del que podem i volem fer, sense rendir comptes a ningú. A mesura que anem obrint camí tenim intenció d’anar incorporant nous serveis als moviments socials. També hem d’agraïr les col•laboracions puntuals externes que ens han fet arribar fins aquí i que esperem que ens facin arribar molt més lluny.
What's Catalan Roots Culture?
Catalan Roots Culture is a cooperative which has been created in order to transmit a form of critical thought against the actual neo-liberalist system. We use art in all its forms to try and generate an array of material to create a weapon of propaganda to battle against the struggles set in the ‘Catalan Countries’ and the rest of the world. We aim to open a variety of places around the country where we can distribute our material at suitable prices, we also aspire to create new and modern designs. Our main objectives are self management and meetings ‘assemblies’ these are more important to us than making a profit. The meetings at Catalan Roots Culture are the core of decision making and are formed by its staff. We intend to grow slowly and work in what we can and want to without having to answer to anyone. As we grow as a cooperative we endeavour to incorporate new services to work in all social movements. We would also like to thank everyone who has helped us achieve all we have done and we hope to achieve a lot more in the near future.
